In short: Facundo Campo is a software developer from Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, who builds custom software for small and mid-sized businesses and specializes in 3D quoting tools and 3D configurators for manufacturers (Estructuras 3D) and in 3D renderings and walkthroughs for builders (Recorrido 3D). He built the 3D quoting tool and sales system for EQUIBOX.

Facundo Campo is a software developer from Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, who builds custom software for small and mid-sized businesses. He specializes in 3D quoting tools and 3D configurators for manufacturers that build to order, using his own engine, Estructuras 3D, and in 3D renderings and walkthroughs for builders and real estate agencies, through Recorrido 3D. He's the one who designs and builds everything: the 3D engine, the interface, the pricing logic, the backend and the production deployment.

This article is the short, organized answer to "who's behind Estructuras 3D?" From here on I'll write it in the first person, because that's the more honest way to tell it.

Who I am and where I work from

I'm Facundo Campo. I work from Quilmes, in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires, remotely for companies in Argentina, Latin America and beyond. I'm a full-stack developer: I write both what you see on screen and what happens on the server, and I take care of deploying and maintaining what I build.

My general work is custom software for small and mid-sized businesses: websites, web applications and mobile apps. Within that, there are two lines I've specialized in because they bring together two things I care about: construction and 3D in the browser.

What I do: 3D quoting tools for manufacturers

The first line is Estructuras 3D, this site. It's my own parametric rendering engine, and it runs in the browser, phones included, with nothing to install.

The idea is simple to state: a manufacturer that sells build-to-order products (metal buildings, prefab homes, horse stalls, covered barbecue areas, modular units) has building rules. A frame every so many meters, a sheet of metal that covers so much, a stall that measures 3 × 3 or 4 × 4 meters. If those rules are written into software, the product can be generated in 3D from the dimensions the customer picks, without anyone modeling each variant by hand. I explain this in more detail in parametric rendering.

On top of that engine I build custom 3D quoting tools for each manufacturer. Depending on the project, they include live pricing from a price table the manufacturer manages itself, PDF quotes, shipping and financing, a CRM for sales reps, offline mode and integration with the company's website. If you're not sure what the difference is between a configurator and a quoting tool, start with what is a 3D quoting tool.

This site has three public configurators you can try, without prices: metal buildings and open-sided sheds, prefab homes and horse stables. They show how the engine behaves with a product similar to yours.

What I do: 3D renderings and walkthroughs for builders

The second line is Recorrido 3D (recorrido3d.facundocampo.com.ar), designed for builders, developers and real estate agencies that sell off-plan. Starting from the drawings, it shows the finished building on its block, the floors with the availability of each unit, and a photorealistic walkthrough of each apartment, from a phone. For catalog homes, you can walk through the furnished house in morning, afternoon and night light.

They're two different products for two different problems. Estructuras 3D is for companies that manufacture something the customer configures: dimensions, modules, options. Recorrido 3D is for companies selling something that's already designed, which the buyer needs to walk through before it exists.

EQUIBOX: the project where the engine was born

The work that best shows what I do is EQUIBOX, a manufacturer of horse stalls and modular horse barns in Berazategui, Buenos Aires. I built their complete quoting and sales system, which is live at cotizador.equiboxarg.com:

  • A public 3D quoting tool where buyers design their barn in a 7-step wizard and see it in 3D, with real wood textures and day and night modes.
  • A sales panel where sales reps quote with prices, distance-based shipping, payment plans and discount codes, with a CRM, payment collection and reports.
  • An installable app that works with no signal, because much of the selling happens at agricultural shows.

The Estructuras 3D engine was born there: the geometry of the EQUIBOX stalls is the basis of the horse stable configurator on this site. The full story is in the EQUIBOX case study, and the technical decisions, explained for people who don't code, are in EQUIBOX design decisions. It's also in my portfolio: facundocampo.com.ar/proyecto/equibox.

How I work with a manufacturer

There are a few things I always do the same way, and they're worth knowing before you get in touch:

  • You talk directly to me. There's no salesperson taking the order and handing it to a team that has never seen your factory. The person who understands your product is the same person who builds it.
  • I design and build everything, end to end. The rendering, the interface, the pricing logic, the database, the integrations and the deployment. That keeps the 3D from saying one thing and the quote another.
  • I start from the product's rules, not from the screen. First I understand how what you manufacture is put together and which combinations are valid; the design comes after.
  • Each project is quoted individually. There's no list price, because a metal building quoting tool with freight and financing isn't the same as a horse stall configurator without prices. The factors that determine the price are in how much does a 3D quoting tool cost.

I walk through the process step by step, from what you send me to launch, in how I work with manufacturers.

What I handle end to end

I don't deliver one piece and leave you looking for someone else for the rest:

  • The 3D: the product generated from its rules, running in the browser and on phones.
  • The interface: what the customer, the sales rep and the admin use.
  • Data and pricing: customers, quotes, price tables and role-based permissions.
  • Mobile apps: I have my own apps published on Google Play.
  • Going live: the system published, working offline when needed, and maintained.

I'm also the founder and developer of VetConnect Pro, a platform for veterinary clinics, and I build websites and systems for shops and small businesses in other industries. That gives a manufacturer something useful: I don't just build the flashy part; I know what it takes to keep a system running in production with real users.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Facundo Campo?

Facundo Campo is a software developer from Quilmes, Buenos Aires, Argentina, who builds custom software for small and mid-sized businesses. He specializes in 3D quoting tools and 3D configurators for manufacturers (Estructuras 3D) and in 3D renderings and walkthroughs for builders and real estate agencies (Recorrido 3D).

What 3D quoting tool projects has Facundo Campo built?

The main one is EQUIBOX, a modular horse barn manufacturer in Berazategui, Argentina, for which he built the public 3D quoting tool, the sales panel with CRM and the app that works offline. He also built Estructuras 3D, his own engine, with configurators for metal buildings, prefab homes and horse stables.

Does he only work with companies in Buenos Aires?

No. He works remotely for companies across Argentina, Latin America and other countries. The quoting tool runs in the browser, so there's no need to be near the factory to build it.

How can I contact Facundo Campo?

On WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or by email at facundocampo100@gmail.com. He's also on LinkedIn as facundocampo, and his portfolio is facundocampo.com.ar.

EQUIBOX Case Study: 3D Quoting Tool and Sales System for Horse Barns

EQUIBOX, a manufacturer of horse stalls and modular horse barns in Berazategui, Buenos Aires, Argentina, uses a public 3D quoting tool and a sales panel with CRM built by Facundo Campo. Buyers design their barn in 3D, and sales reps quote with prices, shipping and financing, even with no signal.

EQUIBOX Design Decisions: Sunny Booths, iPads, No Signal, True PDFs

The EQUIBOX 3D quoting tool was designed for where the selling happens: sunny booths, an iPad, agricultural shows with no signal. That's why it has an offline queue that never duplicates contacts, a lighter 3D for tablets, a deliberately exaggerated night mode and a PDF built from the same rendering the customer saw.

How I Work With Manufacturers: From Paper Catalog to 3D Quoting Tool

Facundo Campo builds 3D quoting tools working directly with the manufacturer: he starts from the catalog, dimensions and assembly rules, delivers a first interactive model at a private URL, adds pricing and integrations, and launches the quoting tool with SEO on the company's website.
