3D Quoting Tool for Manufacturers in Santa Fe and Rosario, Argentina

In short: In Santa Fe's metalworking cluster, where many manufacturers make similar products, a 3D quoting tool helps a factory stand out: instant answers with the product in 3D, reps who quote with the same prices, and a shop that gets what was sold without reinterpreting it.

A 3D quoting tool for a manufacturer in Santa Fe province, Argentina, is a web page where the customer designs their metal building, open-sided shed or whatever the company makes, sees it in 3D and requests a quote with everything defined, while sales reps and regional agents quote with the same rules and the same price table. In a province with this many steel fabricators, the point isn't only quoting faster: it's getting the customer to choose your factory over several others that make the same thing.

Where everyone knows how to build a shed

Between Rosario, Rafaela, Esperanza, Venado Tuerto, Las Parejas, Armstrong and San Francisco, just across the line in Córdoba, there's a density of steel fabricators and machine shops that's hard to find anywhere else. Plenty of them build a good metal building. A grower in the farm belt who needs one can ask five factories for a price in a single morning.

In that market, the difference rarely comes down to the steel. It comes down to things like these:

  • Who answers first with something concrete, not "I'll get back to you in a few days."
  • Who shows the customer what they asked for, not photos of someone else's project.
  • Who makes fewer mistakes in the quote and on site.
  • Who looks after the customer in another province who'll never visit the factory.

A 3D quoting tool helps with all four. I explain it in quote response time.

Answer first, with the product on screen

A grower near Venado Tuerto writes in the morning asking about a 15 × 30 m machinery building (about 49 × 98 ft). One factory replies, "I'll work it out and let you know." Another sends a link: "build it here with the size and door you want, and I'll send you the number."

The second factory is already in the conversation. The customer plays with the width, raises the door, tries closing one side, and sends the link to the brother he farms with. When he comes back, he comes back with the building designed. The metal building configurator lets you try all of that: dimensions, frames, roof, walls, doors, side canopy, colors, walk mode to move around inside, and night view.

Reps in other provinces, with the same prices

Many Santa Fe manufacturers sell nationwide through regional agents: in southern Buenos Aires province, the northwest, Patagonia. The usual risk is that each one quotes their own way, with an old list or a discount the owner would never have approved.

With a shared quoting tool, the agent quotes with the same rules and price table as the factory's own rep, under their own login and terms. When steel goes up, the factory updates the table once and everyone quotes the new price. I go deeper in 3D configurator for dealer networks and controlling sales rep discounts.

That's how the system I built for EQUIBOX works, a horse stable manufacturer in Berazategui, Buenos Aires: prices only show with a rep login, there are admin and sales rep roles, and every quote triggers an email notification.

From the cluster to the shop floor: what was sold arrives intact

For a factory with its own production, the quote is only half the job. The other half is the shop receiving exactly what was sold. If the rep wrote "5 m door" and the customer meant 5 m of clear opening, the mistake turns up on site.

When the sale comes from a configuration, that same configuration can feed what production needs: floor plan, views, dimensions, frame count. It's built to order around how each shop works. I explain it in from quote to production and drawings and spec sheets from the configurator.

Rafaela and the north: more than sheds

The center-north of the province, around Rafaela, has manufacturers that make a bit of everything: sheds for dairy farms, industrial structures, houses, carports. The engine each quoting tool is built on generates structures from rules, so adding a new product means describing its parts and rules, not modeling every variant. More in parametric rendering.

Products that aren't in the public configurators get a custom module. The closest ones to try today are the metal building configurator, for steel structures, and the prefab home configurator, for houses and modular units.

Selling abroad from Santa Fe

Given where they are, many Santa Fe manufacturers also sell to Uruguay, Paraguay or Bolivia. The quoting tool can work in other currencies, with distance-based freight and each country's vocabulary, as part of the custom development. I explain it in 3D quoting tool for manufacturers in Latin America.

Working with me from Santa Fe

I'm Facundo Campo, a software developer based in Quilmes, Buenos Aires province. I work remotely with manufacturers all over Argentina, on the same clock, in the same language, and with the same experience of prices that change every month.

Your factory sends me its catalog, project photos, sample quotes and the rules the owner applies. I put together a first version, send it as a link to test on a computer or phone, and we adjust it over video calls. Day-to-day contact is on WhatsApp or email.

If you want to see how your product would look, try the 3D configurators, read about custom 3D quoting software, or message me on WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or email facundocampo100@gmail.com. I answer in English and Spanish. If you also sell in Córdoba, see 3D quoting tool for metal building manufacturers in Córdoba.

Frequently asked questions

Can regional agents quote without calling the factory?

Yes. Each agent logs in with their own account, quotes with the factory's rules and prices, and the factory sees everything quoted. How much discount each one can give is set as a rule.

What happens when steel prices go up?

The factory updates its price table once, and every new quote, from reps and agents alike, uses the new value. No need to call a programmer.

Can the tool produce drawings for the shop?

They can be built to order from the same configuration: the floor plan, views and dimensions the shop needs. How that's set up depends on how each factory works.

Does it work if the factory makes more than metal buildings?

Yes. Each product is a module on the same engine. Products that aren't in the public configurators are built to order.
