3D Quoting Tool for Metal Building Manufacturers in Córdoba

In short: For a steel fabricator in Córdoba that builds metal buildings and open-sided sheds for farmers and small manufacturers, a 3D quoting tool lets the customer design the building on their phone and the sales rep quote out in the field without calling the owner.

A 3D quoting tool for a steel fabricator in Córdoba, Argentina, is a web page where a farmer or a business designs their metal building (galpón) or open-sided shed (tinglado), sees it in 3D while choosing sizes and options, and requests a quote with everything defined. On the factory side, the sales rep quotes using the owner's rules and price table, at the office or at a farm gate, without having to call anyone.

Two kinds of customer under one roof

Steel fabricators in inland Córdoba usually serve two customers who want very different things.

The farmer. A grower near Marcos Juárez or Río Cuarto who needs a building for the planter and the combine. A dairy farmer in the Villa María milk shed who wants to roof the holding pen or add a feed building. A grain trader who needs to cover stock. They think about width so the machinery can turn, door height, and whether to go open-sided or fully enclosed.

The small manufacturer. A company in an industrial park in Córdoba city, Río Cuarto or San Francisco that needs a building to produce in or a warehouse. They think about clear span, height for an overhead crane, offices and how the front looks.

One quoting tool can serve both on the same engine: it's the same product with different rules depending on use. For the general picture, see metal building 3D quoting tool.

Hail, wind and the question about the roof

In Córdoba, weather is part of the sale. After a hailstorm or a strong windstorm, a farmer who lost an old roof calls in a hurry, with questions: which sheeting, what pitch, how the purlins go, whether to add a side canopy or close one side.

3D doesn't replace structural design, which belongs to the factory and its engineer, but it keeps the conversation on track. The customer sees the pitch, the overhang and the frame type, and understands why one costs more than another. The metal building configurator lets you try truss or solid-web frames, curved roofs, gable or single-slope roofs, a side canopy with its own width and drop, open, half-height or enclosed walls, exposed brick with pilasters, a door that opens, and colors.

When the need is urgent, whoever answers first with something concrete wins. I wrote about that in quote in the meeting.

The rep on the road, with no signal

Many inland fabricators sell through a rep who drives from farm to farm, or through the owner himself visiting customers. The problem is familiar: out in the fields there's no signal, and the rep comes back to the shop with notes so someone else can build the quote.

A quoting tool can be made installable and work offline: the rep designs the building with the farmer on a tablet, saves the quote on the device, and it syncs when the signal returns. That's how I built it for EQUIBOX, a horse stable manufacturer in Berazategui, Buenos Aires, that sells at agricultural shows. More in offline 3D quoting tool.

And if the farmer doesn't decide on the spot, the share link lets them send that exact configuration to the son who runs the farm or to their accountant, who open it on their phones.

Prices that keep moving and an owner who can't keep up

At an Argentine steel fabricator, the price of steel and sheeting changes often. If the quote depends on a spreadsheet only the owner updates, every price increase stalls sales until someone recalculates.

With a quoting tool, the factory manages its own price table: change the price per kilo of steel or per meter of sheeting and every new quote comes out updated. Prices can stay visible to logged-in sales reps only, as with EQUIBOX. I explain it in updating prices with inflation.

What the owner gains is time. They stop being the only person who can quote a 20 × 40 m building (about 66 × 131 ft) with a sliding door and a canopy, and get back to production and the big accounts.

What reaches the shop floor

On a farm building, a measuring mistake gets paid for on site: a door that doesn't fit between two frames, a height that's too low for the combine. When what was sold comes from a configuration, the shop gets exactly what the customer saw: dimensions, frame spacing, doors, walls. I explain it in from quote to production.

Working with me from Córdoba

I'm Facundo Campo, a software developer based in Quilmes, in Buenos Aires province. I work remotely with manufacturers all over the country: same time zone, same language and the same reality of prices that keep moving.

Your shop sends me its catalog, photos of buildings you've put up, sample quotes and the rules the owner applies from memory: spans, frame spacing, which door goes with which structure. I put together a first version, send it as a link to test on a computer or phone, and we adjust it over video calls. Day-to-day contact is on WhatsApp or email.

If you want to see how your product would look, try the 3D configurators, read about custom 3D quoting software, or message me on WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or email facundocampo100@gmail.com. I answer in English and Spanish. If you also sell in the Santa Fe farm belt, see Santa Fe and Rosario.

Frequently asked questions

Can one quoting tool handle farm buildings and industrial buildings?

Yes. It's the same product with different rules depending on use: spans, heights, doors, walls. Both types can live in the same tool.

Does it work out in the fields with no signal?

The public tool needs internet. The sales rep version can be built to install and run offline, like the EQUIBOX one: it stores quotes on the device and syncs them when the signal returns.

Does the tool calculate the structure for hail or wind?

No. Structural design belongs to the factory and its professionals. The tool applies the rules the factory already uses and shows in 3D what's being sold.

Do you need to visit the factory?

No. The work is remote: the factory tests each version from a link, and reviews happen over video call.
