Prefab home configurators and online quoting tools in Argentina
By Facundo Campo, 3D quoting tool developer
In short: In Argentina, prefab and modular home companies quote online in three ways: per-square-meter price estimators (like qBox's), floor plan configurators without prices (like AlmaMod's Cubicador) and forms handled by advisors (like Zimenta or Habitar Modular). A block-based 3D configurator adds the ability to see the home with its rooms take shape while you choose.
Prefab and modular home companies that quote online in Argentina currently do it in three ways: with a per-square-meter price estimator, with a floor plan configurator that lays out the rooms without showing a price, or with a form that an advisor answers afterwards. A block-based 3D configurator is a fourth option: the customer adds rooms and sees the home take shape while choosing.
The information on each company comes from its website, checked in October 2026; check it again before you decide.
Per-square-meter price estimators: qBox
qBox, a builder of habitable modules and covered outdoor structures in Rivadavia, San Juan, has a quoting tool with an instant estimate on its website, according to their website, checked in October 2026. The customer picks the type of construction (habitable module at USD 640/m² or covered outdoor structure at USD 135/m²), the floor area between 15 and 200 m², and the finish: Esencial, Estándar or Premium. The example shown on the site: 48 m² with the Estándar finish comes to USD 35,328 (USD 736/m²) plus VAT.
What they do well is transparency. The reference price is right there and the disclaimer is clear: "Automatic, approximate estimate. The final value is set after surveying the site, the land and logistics."
This format is a good fit if your product sells mainly by floor area and finish, and what matters most to you is that the customer arrives knowing the ballpark price. What it doesn't show is the home: the customer knows what 48 m² costs, but not how it's split into bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen. 3D isn't mentioned on qBox's website.
Floor plan configurators: AlmaMod's Cubicador
AlmaMod, a modular construction manufacturer in Neuquén, offers the "Cubicador", according to their website, checked in October 2026. It's a six-step configurator: building use, up to 10 modules, dimensions, rooms you drag inside each module, openings, exterior cladding (corrugated or trapezoidal metal sheeting), floor plan by level and additional equipment. It doesn't show a price: it notes that the data is "approximate" and that an advisor contacts the customer. It shows a floor plan view; 3D isn't mentioned on its website. The valuable part: the customer arrives with a floor plan they've thought through, not with "I want something with two bedrooms."
In Chile, EcoModulares (Mantagua, Quintero) has an online quoting tool "in minutes, no sign-up, no commitment," according to their website, checked in October 2026: you choose modules and get the quote as a PDF. The site also has a virtual tour section, although it doesn't say the quoting tool is 3D. Its strength is speed: a quote without signing up.
This format is a good fit if you sell combinable modules and want the customer to think about the layout, but prefer that an advisor always gives the price.
Forms with an advisor: Zimenta, Habitar Modular and HODOZA
The most common format is still the form. Zimenta, a builder in La Plata, has a "Cotizador de Viviendas Online" (online home quote) that asks for project type (house, renovation, metal building or industrial structure, civil works), floor area, location and finish level; a team sends the quote by email and the site mentions installment financing, according to their website, checked in October 2026.
Habitar Modular, a modular and prefab home manufacturer that, according to their website, operates in 18 countries in the region, publishes an entry price ("From USD 18,000" for the first home) and handles customization of dimensions, layout, finishes, colors and openings through a form and advisors. A configurator isn't mentioned on its website.
Something similar happens with metal buildings: HODOZA, in Buenos Aires City, has a detailed quote request form that lets you attach photos or drawings.
This format is a good fit if every job is quite different, your sales team can respond quickly, and you'd rather talk before giving any number.
Are there 3D prefab home configurators with pricing in Argentina?
In our October 2026 search we didn't find Argentine prefab home manufacturers with a parametric 3D configurator and real-time pricing published on their website. What we found are the three formats above: an estimated price without 3D, a 2D floor plan without price, and forms. That doesn't prove none exist.
What a block-based 3D configurator adds
The Estructuras 3D prefab home 3D configurator builds the home from blocks: large and small bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, laundry room, a second floor with stairs, a flat concrete, single-slope or gable roof, brick, stone or wood cladding, porch, pool and perimeter fence. Every block you add appears in 3D instantly, with furniture and interior lighting, and you can use the layers to remove the roof and see the floor plan from inside.
Compared with the other formats, here's what changes:
- Compared with the per-m² estimator: the customer doesn't just know what a floor area costs; they see what their 2-bedroom home with a porch looks like. And if the manufacturer wants pricing, it's calculated from the same configuration, adding line items per block, finish and extras. The public configurator doesn't show prices: that's developed for each company, with a table the manufacturer manages (we explain it in prices that change every month).
- Compared with the floor plan configurator: a 2D floor plan is exact but abstract. A 3D home with a bed inside conveys the size of a 3-by-3 m bedroom better than any dimension line.
- Compared with the form: the inquiry arrives with the home already put together and a link that opens that exact configuration. The sales rep knows which home the customer is talking about before replying on WhatsApp, as we describe in leads that arrive with the configuration already set up.
None of this replaces the advisor: surveying the land and handling logistics are still the manufacturer's job.
How to choose for your company
- If you sell modules by floor area with few finishes, a per-m² estimator like qBox's is simple and transparent.
- If you sell combinable modules and want the customer to think about the floor plan, a floor plan configurator like the Cubicador brings you more developed inquiries.
- If almost every job is one of a kind, a good form and a team that responds quickly are enough.
- If you sell by models and rooms, your customer asks "what if I add a bedroom?" and you want them to see the home and its price on the same screen, that's where a 3D configurator built with your real blocks makes sense. The details of how it's built are in prefab home 3D quoting tool, and if your system is light steel framing or modular, in 3D quoting tool for steel frame and modular homes.
Facundo Campo, a software developer based in Quilmes, Buenos Aires, builds these quoting tools on his own parametric engine: no variant is modeled by hand; the home is generated from the manufacturer's rules (he explains it in parametric rendering). The service is described in custom 3D quoting software.
If you sell prefab homes and want to see what your catalog would look like in 3D, build your best-selling home in the configurator and send it to me on WhatsApp at +54 9 11 6193-3176 or by email at facundocampo100@gmail.com. I'll tell you honestly whether a 3D configurator makes sense for you or whether an estimator or a form will do.
Frequently asked questions
Which prefab home companies in Argentina have an online quoting tool?
Among the ones we reviewed in October 2026: qBox has a per-m² price estimator, AlmaMod has a floor plan configurator called Cubicador, and Zimenta and Habitar Modular quote through forms and advisors. In Chile, EcoModulares has a module-based quoting tool that sends a PDF.
Does an online quoting tool give the final price of the home?
In the cases reviewed, no: qBox states that its estimate is approximate and that the final value depends on surveying the site, the land and logistics, and AlmaMod says its data is approximate. A quoting tool gives a well-founded reference; the manufacturer sets the final price.
What's the difference between a floor plan configurator and a 3D one?
A floor plan configurator shows the layout in 2D. A 3D one shows the finished home, with roof, cladding, porch and furnished interior, and lets you rotate it and look inside.
Can I try a 3D home configurator before commissioning one?
Yes. The Estructuras 3D prefab home configurator is public and free, runs in the browser and on phones, and doesn't show prices.
